Hezekiah Stone was born in 1790 in Amherst County, Virginia. It's possible his father may be the Hezikiah Stone who served during the Revolutionary War in Virginia.2

He performed his Military Service by serving as a Drummer in the 8th Regiment (Wall's) Virginia Militia during the War of 1812..1,3

Hezekiah married Ruth Turner, daughter of Henry Turner and Rachel Stovall, circa 1819 in Amherst County, Virginia. I cannot find a marriage record for them as of 25 Jun 2021 on either Ancestry or FamilySearch (and I have searched the Amherst County marriage register page by page in Oct 2020.)2

I could not find him on a tax list in Cumberland County from 1833, 1837, 1840, or 1841.

On 1 January 1833, the Administrator's Account of Henry Turner's estate settlement was filed by Lawson Turner and George S. Turner, executors, approved by Superior Court of Lynchburg and certified to Amherst County. Legatees: Martha Gregory, Terisha Turner, Henry Turner, M. H. Garland for E. P. Omohundro, Jas. S. Turner, B. P. Balderfor Geo. N. Gregory , Reuben Carver, S. B. Turner, Saml. Turner, Wm. Turner, Jas. S. Turner for Hezekiah Stone with Jos. S. Dillard and Jesse Mundy, as commissioners in Amherst County.4
