Her surname also is spelled as Dyckens.3

Anne Dickens married John Twigden , of Little Creaton, Northamptonshire.1

Anne Twigden married Andrew Knowling after 1610.

On 2 June 1634, a Final concord between David Battison and John Battison, querents, and Andrew Knowlinge, gent. and Anne, his wife, devorciants, concerning one messuage, one garden, one cottage, one dovecote, two gardens, two orchards, thirty-five acres of arable land, eight acres of meadow, twenty-four acres of pasture, two acres of woodland, and six acres of heath, with commons of pasture for all animals, in Creaton Magna and Creaton Parva. Consideration, £100. (Feet of Fines, Northamptonshire, Trinity Term, 10 Charles I.)".

"With this evidence connecting Andrew Knowling and his wife Anne with Creaton Parva, in Northamptonshire, there can no longer be any question that his wife anne was the widow of John Twigden of Creaton Parva and that this Fine shows the disposal of their property in Great and Little Creaton in 1634."4

On 18 June 1635, Andrew Knowling's will of this date names a son-in-law, William Roades, and three daughters-in-law (probably step-daughters): Elizabeth Fitzherbert, Susan Billing, deceased, and Amphillis Washington.

Andrew Knowling left his freehold lands in Tring to Lawrence Washington, son of Amphillis. He also named John, William, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Martha, five other children of hers and appointed John Dagnall of Gove, in the parish of Tring, yeoman, his overeseer.

The parish register of Tring reveals that the father of these children was Mr. Lawrence Washington. University records reveal that there was only one Mr. Lawrence Washington, Master of Arts, alive in England and he was the Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford.5

Anne Knowling was buried on 25 April 1637 in Tring, Hertfordshire, England.6

Rachael Dickerson died in 18522 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa. I suspect she was one of the two daughters, one aged 15 and another 10 years, who died suddenly. A post-mortem examination showed they were poisoned, probably while looking for wild flowers after eating some poisonous berry or vegetable. Unfortunately, I do not have a name for the other daughter.3,4

Rachel and Terisha Turner obtained a marriage bond on 7 December 1816 in Sumner County, Tennessee, with Will Grigg as security.4,5

Rachel Dickerson married Terisha Turner, son of John Turner and Mildred Suddarth, on 22 November 1816 in Sumner County, Tennessee. Virginia Turner Harris states in her article that Rachel Dickerson was a niece of Molly (Polly) Dalton, Terisha's first wife who apparently died in or immediately after childbirth.

There is an obvious mistake here because they can't have married before the marriage bond was obtained. Nor do I understand how they could have married prior to getting a marriage bond. I have no explanation, other than transcription error for the bond being dated 7 Dec 1816 and the marriage occurring 22 Nov 1816.1

Rachel Turner died before 24 December 1829. On which date her husband obtained a marriage bond with Priscilla Parrish.6
