     Sarah Lark married Austin Wright, son of Robert Wright and Mary (--?--).²

     On 10 May 1790, Sally released her dower rights in a conveyance of land by her husband, Austin, to Sherwood Bugg at Mecklenburg County, Virginia.³

     On 8 February 1793, she is named Sarah Wright in her father's will of this date.¹

     Further proof that she was the daughter of Robert Lark is found in the lawsuit filed 13 Jul 1795 which establishes that Augustine Wright's wife was Sarah Lark.⁴

     Sarah Wright died before 1 May 1806 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

     William Wallace Larkin was born in 1838.¹
     He also is reported to have been born on 15 September 1833.²

     William Wallace Larkin married Sallie Cynthia Dillard, daughter of Terisha Washington Dillard and Mary Elizabeth Dillard.³

     William Wallace Larkin died on 25 August 1894^1,2 and was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Lynchburg, Virginia.²

     Thomas Jackson Lawson was born on 13 November 1859 in Lincoln County, Virginia.^3,5

     On 20 June 1863, the western part of Virginia was admitted to the Union as a new state named West Virginia.

     Thomas Jackson Lawson married Isabelle Bias, daughter of Roland S. Bias and Sarah Ann Turner, circa 1880. I cannot find a marriage record for them as of 27 Nov 2020.^1,3

     Thomas Jackson Lawson died on 6 January 1962 at age 102 in Hurricane, Putnam County, West Virginia,⁶ and was buried in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, Lincoln County, West Virginia.

     John Henry Layne was born circa 1837 in Virginia.²

     John married Margaret Frances Christian, daughter of Alfred A. Mays and Elizabeth Jane Turner, on 16 December 1867 in Amherst County, Virginia.¹

     John Henry Layne died on 23 April 1897 in Amherst County, Virginia.³

     Maria Elkin Layne was born on 13 November 1869, daughter of John Henry Layne and Margaret Frances Mays, in Amherst County, Virginia.^3,4

     On 16 December 1891, she married Robert Mckendry Mills at Lynchburg County, Virginia.⁵

     She married James Henry Cooper, from whom she was widowed at the time of her death. I cannot find a marriage record for them as of 18 Dec 2021.⁴

     Maria Elkin Cooper died on 17 April 1955 at age 85 in Lynchburg, (Independent City), Virginia,⁴ and was buried in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, (Independent City), Virginia.⁴

     Maude Layne was born in January 1887, daughter of John Henry Layne and Margaret Frances Mays, in Virginia.²
     She also is reported to have been born on 24 January 1882 in Amherst County, Virginia.¹
     She was also known as Manda.²

     She married Marvin Stanley who died before 1909.^3,4

     In 1909, she was living as a widow in Madison Heights at Lynchburg, (Independent City), Virginia.⁵

     Maude Stanley died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis on 19 October 1912 at age 25 in Elon District, Amherst County, Virginia.
     Although her mother was the informant on her death certificate, she mis-named Maude's father as Alford A. Layne, gave a birth date of 24 Jan 1882 and said Maude was 32 years of age at time of death.⁶

     Isabella Graham Lee was born on 5 November 1841, daughter of John Lee, in Virginia.^3,2

     Jane Lee was born before 1765.²

     Jane Lee married Isaac Tinsley, son of Edward Tinsley. I cannot find confirmation of this marriage as of 13 Jan 2021, although a number of online sites use it with no documentary evidence (some of them claim Jane died in Barren County, Kentucky.)¹

     John Lee was born in 1806 in Charlotte County, Virginia. He was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Lee.²

     John Lee died on 3 August 1850² and was buried in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.²

     William D. Lee was born on 13 June 1864 in Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri. He was the son of William H. H. Lee (1839-1898) and Nancy Jane Hubble (1845-1912).¹

     William D. Lee married Anna May Omohundro, daughter of Thomas Allen Omohundro and Lucilla Jane Givens. I cannot find a marriage record as of 25 Dec 2016.¹

     William D. Lee died on 8 April 1944 at age 79 in Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri,¹ and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri.¹

     Mary Anna Leigh was born on 6 October 1876 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of M. G. Leigh and Mary Jowall.^3,4

     Anna and Robert Wyley Turner obtained a marriage bond on 6 January 1897 in Greenway, Clay County, Arkansas.¹

     Mary Anna Turner died of a Myocardial Infarction on 23 August 1958 at age 81 in Methodist Hospital, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee,⁴ and was buried in Mirchell Cemetery, Greenway, Clay County, Arkansas.⁶

     Carrie F. Leighton was born in 1877 in Michigan. She was the daughter of William Leighton.²

     Martha Pearl Lemmons was born on 7 July 1888, daughter of William Henry Lemmons and Mary Catherine Turner, in New Mexico.¹

     On 18 June 1913, she married Fred Ronald King at Menard County, Texas.^1,2

     Martha Pearl King died on 15 September 1972 at age 84 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas,¹ and was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery, Menard, Menard County, Texas.¹

     William Henry Lemmons and Kate Turner obtained a marriage license on 18 January 1887 in McCulloch County, Texas.

     William Henry Lemmons married Mary Catherine Wilkerson, 27, daughter of William R. Turner and Martha Ann Allen, on 19 January 1887 in McCulloch County, Texas. The source, who wishes to remain unidentified, sent me a copy of their marriage record.²

     I cannot find this man in the 1880 or 1900 census anywhere as of 19 Apr 2021.

     Clyde James Lemons was born on 1 April 1906 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. He was the son of Walter and Mary Lemons.^1,3

     Clyde registered for the draft on 16 October 1940 at Mr. Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. He was 34 years of age, married and a farmer. He is described as 5' 8" in height, 147 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and a light complexion.

     The Selective Training and Service Act of 1940, also known as the Burke–Wadsworth Act, enacted September 16, 1940, was the first peacetime conscription in United States history. The Selective Service Act required that men who had reached their 21st birthday but had not yet reached their 36th birthday register with local draft boards. Later, when the U.S. entered World War II after Pearl Harbor, all men from their 18th birthday until the day before their 45th birthday were made subject to military service, and all men from their 18th birthday until the day before their 65th birthday were required to register.²
