     Ova Paschal was born in March 1894, daughter of David C. Paschal and Viola Turner, in Kentucky.¹

     She married James H. Hawkins (1863-1947) who died 5 Jun 1947 of a heart attack after a short illness. He was buried in Hawkins Cemetery, Pig, Edmonson County, Kentucky, to which cemetery his wife left $25 in her will. He was survived by his wife.²

     Ova Paschal left a will dated in June 1966 in Edmonson County, Kentucky.³

     Ova Hawkins died on 10 June 1970 at age 76 in Warren County, Kentucky,^4,5 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky.⁴

     Cornelia G. Paschall was born circa 1830 in Middleburg Township, Vance County, North Carolina.^1,3

     In February 1854, she is named as the widow of her husband, John M. Daniel in his estate administration files at Warren County, North Carolina.⁴

     On 26 February 1867, she married Robert R. Fleming in Warren County, North Carolina.⁵

     Herman Edward Patterson was born on 4 November 1911. He was the son of John Wilson Patterson (1869-1949) and Mary Laura Edwards Patterson (1871-1926.)²

     Herman Edward Patterson, 25, married Eva Turner, 20, daughter of George Washington Turner and Addie Belle Carnell, on 27 December 1936 in Humphreys County, Tennessee.^1,3

     I cannot find a family of Pattersons in Sumner County in the 1810 census as of 8 Jan 2021.

     Salley Patterson married Moses Tinsley, son of Isaac Tinsley and Jane Lee, on 15 November 1810 in Sumner County, Tennessee.¹

     I cannot find her in the 1820, 1830, or 1840 census as a head of household so I cannot get further information about her as of 8 Jan 2021.

     Ruth Patteson was born on 23 February 1899.¹

     Ruth married Robert Henry Turner, son of Peter Porter Turner and Lucy Ida Childress. I cannot find a marriage record for them as of 13 May 2021.^2,1

     Ruth Turner died on 19 November 1978 at age 79¹ and was buried in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, (Independent City), Virginia.¹

     James Edward Pattillo was born in 1818, son of Williamson Pattillo and Jane Phillips.¹

     James Edward Pattillo married Winifred Passon Davis, 31, daughter of Jacob Davis and Rhoda Turner, on 29 December 1840 in Warren County, North Carolina. I cannot find a marriage record in North Carolina as of 17 Jul 2016.^3,4

     James Edward Pattillo died on 2 February 1892² and was buried in Mount Auburn Christian Church, Manson, Warren County, North Carolina. Although it is currently located in Vance County, it may at one time have been in Warren County.¹

     Williamson Pattillo was born before 1776. He was 45 or older in 1820.²

     Williamson Pattillo and Jane Phillips obtained a marriage bond on 13 July 1808 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, with Martin Phillips as security.^3,4

     Adeline D. Payne was born circa 1828, daughter of Simpson Payne and Elizabeth Turner, in Tennessee.^1,2

     Adeline D. Payne married James K. Bates on 15 November 1850 at Marshall County, Mississippi.^1,3,4

     On 10 July 1860, her husband was enumerated without her in the 1860 census, but with an infant 6/12 year of age. Therefore, she may have died prior to this census.⁵

     On 14 April 1866, she is named Adaline D. Bates in her father's will of this date.⁶

     I believe she may have died, although there is no Find a Grave memorial page as of 3 Feb 2019.

     On 4 August 1870, their two children are living with Adeline's father and mother: R. J. Bates (female) age 12; and Addie, age 10.⁷

     Carrie E. Payne was born on 26 April 1883, daughter of James Turner Payne and Della Milam, in Mississippi.¹
     She also is reported to have been born on 26 April 1882 in Louisiana.^2,3

     Carrie E. Payne, 17, married R. H. Marshall on 16 March 1901 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.^4,5

     I cannot find them anaywhere in the 1910 census as of 28 Dec 2020 so I cannot find out his full name or even an approximate date of birth.

     Carrie E. Payne, 48, married Thomas Freeman Hubbard, 57, on 2 September 1931 in Van Zandt County, Texas.^1,4

     On 23 September 1955, she was the informant on her brother, James Turner Payne's, death certificate.⁶

     She was widowed and lived at Wills Point, Van Zandt County, Texas.¹

     Carrie E. Hubbard died from a massive left-sided cerebral hemorrhage on 6 March 1962 at age 78 in Colonial Hospital, Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas,¹ and was buried in White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, Van Zandt County, Texas.²

     Dosha Payne was born on 18 March 1806, daughter of John Payne.²

     Dosha and Seaton H. Turner obtained a marriage bond on 1 January 1823 in Sumner County, Tennessee, where her name is written Desha Payne (although FamilySearch read it as Jana for some reason.)³

     On 29 December 1840, Wiliam L. Payne, John Payne, Samuel & Rebecca Bailey, Sarah Johnson (Robertson Co., TN), Seaton and Dosha Turner, Simpson Payne (Marshall Co., MS) by his attorney Daniel Mulloy, Mary Norvell (Macoupin Co., IL) by her attorney Daniel Mulloy & James and Phoebe Vaught (Logan Co., KY) conveyed to Elizabeth Crawford, & Joseph Payne 200 acres on the waters of the Red River for $300. Witnesses: John Johnson and Erastus Payne. Registered 14 Apr 1846 in Sumner County, Tennessee.⁴

     Dosha Turner died before 16 October 1843 because she is not mentioned in her husband's will of this date.⁵

     Fannie Lavinia Payne was born between 1859 and 1860, daughter of Thomas Joseph Payne and Mary Ann Skillern, in Arkansas.^3,4,5

     Fannie Lavinia Payne married G. C. McKay on 21 May 1879 in Lonoke County, Arkansas.⁶

     He is not mentioned in Some Descendants of Leonard Henley.

     He is mentioned as a minor child in the obituary of Simpson Payne in the Nashville Christian Advocate.

     James Turner Payne married Della Milam, 17, on 14 November 1880 in Marshall County, Mississippi.⁵

     James Turner Payne died on 11 October 1892 in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana.⁶

     James Turner Payne died of Coronary Occlusion on 23 September 1955 at age 62 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas,³ and was buried in White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, Van Zandt County, Texas.²

     John Payne was born on 1 March 1754 in Bedford County, Virginia. He was the son of Joseph and Phoebe Payne.^1,2

     John Payne married Elizabeth Litt.³

     I believe this was the John Payne listed on the 1810 Tax List in Capt. Allen's Company at Sumner County, Tennessee.⁴

     John gave a deposition regarding his Revolutionary War service to the County Clerk, Captain A. H. Douglass, on August 21, 1832 in which he stated that he had enlisted in Bedford County, Virginia for two years on February 9, 1776 under Capt. Gross Scruggs and was attached to the 5th Regiment of the Virginia Line commanded by Col. Stevens or Stevenson. He marched to Portsmouth and remained there and in the vicinity until the 11th of August when he applied for furlough until he could recover his health. Apparently, he had been unable to perform his duty due to illness. He was unable to rejoin his regiment due to ill health. After Captain Scruggs served out his term of two years, he returned home and gave John Payne a full and complete discharge. As a result of this deposition, John Payne was granted a pension of $20 a year, which he collected until his death in 1839.

     John Payne died on 14 September 1839 at age 85¹ and was buried in 15-34, John Payne Burying Ground, Mulloy, Sumner County, Tennessee.^1,2

     Mary E. Payne married H. Shelton. I cannot find a marriage record for this couple in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas. I did find a marriage record of a Whiten Shelton and a M. E. Sullivan, but could not find an earlier marriage for Mary E. with a Sullivan.

     On 14 April 1866, she is named Mary E. Skelton in her father's will of this date.²

     She allegedly is named in the obituary of Simpson Payne in the Nashville Christian Advocate. However, I have been unable to locate this obituary despite searching the online archives of this specific newspaper.
