     Joseph Schlee was born in 1840 in Roaring Creek, Montour County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Frederick Schlee (1802-1863) and Esther Mensch Schlee (1813-1898.)3

     He performed his Military Service by serving as a Union soldier in Company H, 17th Pennsylvania Calvary, during the Civil War.

     He first enlisted on 20 Jun 1863 and mustered into Company E, 30th Pennsylvania Militia Infantry. On 1 Aug 1863 he was mustered out of service. He reenlisted as a Private on 12 Sep 1864 and mustered into his Regiment on the same date. He was mustered out of service on 16 Jun 1865 at Washington, D. C..3

     Joseph Schlee married Sophia Dickerson, 23, daughter of Livingston T. Dickerson and Frances Turner, on 18 November 1868 in Washington County, Iowa.1,2

     In 1890, he was living in Pacific County, Washington.3

     Nancy Agnes Duke married Edward T. Harris circa 1875. I canot find a marriage record for them in North Carolina, Tennessee or Kentucky as of 17 Dec 2016, but I did find Nancy A. Duke and Thomas E. Harris as parents of the groom, John M. Harris, in an Illinois marriage.3,4

     Nancy Agnes Harris died on 7 April 1942 at age 85 in Kentucky,3 and was buried in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hinkleville, Ballard County, Kentucky.3

     Ella Sipe was born on 21 March 1857 in Rockingham County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Emanual and Penelope Sipe.2,3 She was also named as Ella Henrietta in one of the North Carolina indices.

     Ella Sipe married Patrick Henry Fleming, son of Jacob Davis Fleming and Susanna D. Cole.
     I absolutely cannot find this marriage in North Carolina, Tennessee, or Kentucky as of 14 Apr 2017. He is shown as the father of the groom William Henry Fleming with his wife listed as Ella Henrietta Fleming. There is also another listing for a Patrick Henry Fleming which shows his wife's name as Ella Henrietta Sife, but this is in Maine?1,4
