     Eugene Ross Darnell married Irene Mabel Allen, daughter of Joel W. Allen and Anna E. Barneycastle. I cannot find a marriage record anywhere for this couple as of 23 Dec 2016. Although, I can find birth records for their children.1

     Eugene Ross Darnell registered for the draft in 1917 and 1918 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, He was 24 years of age with an occupation of Mechanic at Salem Iron Works in Winston-Salem. He is described as being tall, slender of build with brown eyes and dark hair. At the present, he was confined to bed and claims by a religious view not to believe in killing people.3

     Eugene Ross Darnell died on 26 January 1983 at age 89 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina,2 and was buried. Unknown burial location.2
