     Edward T. Harris was born on 12 September 1845 in Tennessee. The 1880 census says he was born in Kentucky, but the 1900 census says Tennessee.2,3

     Edward T. Harris married Nancy Agnes Duke, daughter of Lewis Skidmore Duke and Phoebe Gibbs Mabry, circa 1875. I canot find a marriage record for them in North Carolina, Tennessee or Kentucky as of 17 Dec 2016, but I did find Nancy A. Duke and Thomas E. Harris as parents of the groom, John M. Harris, in an Illinois marriage.1,4

     Edward T. Harris died on 15 November 1927 at age 82 in Ballard County, Kentucky,2 and was buried in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hinkleville, Ballard County, Kentucky.2
