     James J. Pollard was born on 13 October 1824.2

     James J. Pollard married Sarah Elizabeth Turner, daughter of William Turner and Mariah Page Thompson.1

     He performed his Military Service by serving as a Sergeant, Company I, 50th Tennessee Infantry. He was also a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas, Illinois.2

     James J. Pollard died on 25 February 1908 at age 832 and was buried in Pollard Cemetery, Houston County, Tennessee.2

     Elizabeth Litt was born in 1755 in Virginia Colony.1

     Elizabeth Litt married John Payne.1

     Elizabeth Payne died in May 1847 in Sumner County, Tennessee,1 and was buried in John Payne Burying Ground, Mulloy, Sumner County, Tennessee.
     Elizabeth is buried to the south of her husband John and between him and daughter Sarah Johnson in an unmarked grave. Elizabeth Litt outlived her husband by 8 years. The land of John Payne her husband, was divided among his heirs in December of 1840 but the deeds were not executed until their mother passed away. Sarah Johnson her daughter, purchased the shares of her siblings and lived on the land a number of years.1

     Penelope S. Cartwright was born on 30 September 1813. She was the daughter of Hezekiah Cartwright (1761-1818) and Elizabeth Maholland Cartwright (1786-1851.)2

     Penelope S. Cartwright married Thomas Turner, son of William Turner and Frances Dodson.1

     Penelope S. Turner died on 9 August 1888 at age 742 and was buried in Turner Cemetery, Linwood, Wilson County, Tennessee.2
