     Egbert Turner was born in 1849, son of George Stovall Turner and Margaret F. Staples, in Missouri.1,4 He was also known as Evart5, as Egbut2, and, as Ebbert W.4

     Egbert Turner married Elizabeth Verdier, 21, daughter of Van Nelson Monin Verdier and Frances C. Moore, on 9 November 1876 in Pike County, Missouri.2,6,7

     On 10 April 1884, he is named in his father's will of this date.3

     Egbert Turner died in 19204 and was buried in Eolia Cemetery, Eolia, Pike County, Missouri.4

     Berry Verdier Turner was born on 30 August 1879, son of Egbert Turner and Elizabeth Verdier, in Missouri.4,5

     Berry Verdier Turner, 21, married Dediaier A. Worlledge, 20, on 3 January 1901 in Pike County, Missouri.6

     Berry registered for the draft on 12 September 1918 at Bowling Green, Pike County, Missouri. He was 39 years of age, married, and a Farmer. The only description of him is that he had blue eyes and light hair.

     Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. Obviously, not everyone who was registered for the draft was drafted or served in the military.

     With no end in sight for the end of World War I, a third and final registration law was instituted which now included all men between the ages of 18 and 45 which added younger men that the previous registrations laws and an older group of men born between 1873 and 1900, meaning he had to register.7

     Berry Verdier Turner died on 9 November 1967 at age 885 and was buried in Eolia Cemetery, Eolia, Pike County, Missouri.5
