     He had acquired land as early as June 1745 in Albemarle County, Virginia Colony.1

     On 29 October 1747, as John Farrar, Sr., he sold 200 acres in Goochland County, Virginia Colony, where he had lived, with his wife, Sarah, relinquishing her dower.1

     John Farrar left a will dated on 24 October 1764 in Albemarle County, Virginia Colony.2

     John Farrar died before August 1769.

     His estate was probated in August 1769 in Albemarle County, Virginia Colony.2
