     Erskine Bunton Turner was born on 20 April 1868, son of James Nelson Turner and Martha Woodward Bullock, in Sumner County, Tennessee.5,2,6

     Erskine Bunton Turner and Nellie E. Green obtained a marriage license on 5 November 1891 in Sumner County, Tennessee.7

     Erskine, 23, married Nellie E. Green, 18, on 5 November 1891 in Sumner County, Tennessee, with H. B. Reams, Minister of the Gospel, officiating.8,7

     On 17 July 1925, Pattie Turner Davis' obituary states she was survived by her husband, one daughter Miss Katie Davis, of the city; brothers James Turner and Erskine Turner of Gallatin, Tennessee; and sisters Mrs. L. B. Ligon of Clarksville, Tennessee and Mrs. Alice Foster of Black Mountain, North Carolina. The body was shipped to Gallatin where funeral services were held.9

     Erskine, 61, married Kathryn Ramsey on 16 November 1929 in Sumner County, Tennessee.10

     Erskine Bunton Turner died of Hemorrhage of the Brain on 10 August 1948 at age 80 in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee,2 and was buried in Gallatin City Cemetery, Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee.11

     His estate was probated on 8 September 1948 in Sumner County, Tennessee.12

     Minor Merritt Davis was born on 29 March 1873, son of Hardy Bryant Davis and Mandaville Emily Highsmith, in Tennessee.4,5,6

     Minor, 27, married Pattie Bullock Turner, 28, daughter of James Nelson Turner and Martha Woodward Bullock, on 17 October 1900 in Sumner County, Tennessee.1,7

     Minor Merritt Davis registered for the draft in 1918 at Graves County, Kentucky. He was 45 years of age, married and a Merchant with the Singer Sewing Machine Company who was employed in Mayfield, Kentucky where he lived. No physical description is on this registration card.

     Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. Obviously, not everyone who was registered for the draft was drafted or served in the military.

     With no end in sight for the end of World War I, a third and final registration law was instituted which now included all men between the ages of 18 and 45 which added younger men that the previous registrations laws and an older group of men born between 1873 and 1900, meaning he had to register.8

     On 17 July 1925, Pattie Turner Davis' obituary states she was survived by her husband, one daughter Miss Katie Davis, of the city; brothers James Turner and Erskine Turner of Gallatin, Tennessee; and sisters Mrs. L. B. Ligon of Clarksville, Tennessee and Mrs. Alice Foster of Black Mountain, North Carolina. The body was shipped to Gallatin where funeral services were held.9

     Prior to his death, he was a widowed sewing machine salesman.5

     Minor Merritt Davis died on 7 September 1931 at age 58 in Monty County, Tennessee,5 and was buried in Little Hope Cemetery, Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee.10
