I found a John H Watkins, born c1867 with no state specified who married Susan Mcguffee on 22 Jan 1890 in Montgomery County, Arkansas. His place of residence was Buckville in that county. Susan was 17, born in c 1873. When I checked the actual record no further information as to his origins could be found. I have no idea if this could be the right man or not. I could not find a marriage in North Carolina for him.2
