     Belle Golden Blackman was born circa 1852 in Mississippi. The 1880 census has her born in Louisiana.1,2 She was also known as Isabelle.5

     Belle and Sumpter Turner obtained a marriage bond on 24 September 1869 in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.1,6

     There is a voided marriage record for a Sumpter Turner and Georgia Malone in Noxubee County, Mississippi. It was voided because returned and cancelled 12 Sep 1910. I don't quite know what to make of this, but perhaps Belle had died and he started to marry again precipitately.7

     I cannot find any death/burial information for her on Find A Grave as of 6 Feb 2021.

     On 10 January 1951, Mrs. H. B. Turner's obituary names her husband as surviving her, two daughters: Mrs. Charles F. Beatty of New Castle, Delaware and Mrs. J. L. Davis of Glen Head, Long Island and one son, Sumpter Turner of Goldsboro from whose home the funeral services were held.6

     Horace Blackman Turner died on 30 July 1951 at age 81 in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina,3 and was buried on 1 August 1951 in Willow Dale Cemetery, Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina.3,7
