     John Preston Turner was born circa November 1869, son of William R. Turner Jr and Frances Burford, in Virginia.1

     His death certificate states his usual occupation was that of a Farmer and that he was single.3

     John Preston Turner died on 4 November 1941 in Madison Heights, Amherst County, Virginia,3 and was buried in Bayley's Chapel Cemetery, Madison Heights, Amherst County, Virginia. Find A Grave does not have a burial listing for him as of 29 Sep 2020.3,4

     John Preston Turner's obituary states that he died at his home near Lynchburg in Amherst County, was a member of the Bethelehem Methodist Church and only his sister, Bessie Quinn of Madison Heights survived him.4

     Bessie Ann Turner was born circa 1878, daughter of William R. Turner Jr and Frances Burford, in Virginia.1
     Bessie Ann also is reported to have been born on 25 May 1880 in Amherst County, Virginia.3

     Bessie Ann Turner married Albert William Quinn, 27, on 4 July 1906 in Amherst County, Virginia.4,5

     They had William, born c 1907 in Virginia, and Ada, born c 1908 in Virginia.6

     John L. Turner was born in April 1844, son of William Richard Turner and Permelia Hutcheson, in Virginia.5

     John and Maggie V. Hatcher obtained a marriage license on 4 January 1871 in Amherst County, Virginia.3

     John L. Turner married Maggie V. Hatcher in Amherst County, Virginia, with David Teale officiating.6

     Prior to his death, he was widowed.7

     John L. Turner died of Apoplexy with a contributing factor of Aterio Sclerosis on 1 June 1928 at age 84 in Court House District, Amherst County, Virginia.7,8
